Pastor Contrell Jenkins

Pastor Contrell Jenkins is a passionate leader, dynamic speaker, and community builder hailing from Chicago’s west side. He is a graduate of The Living Word School of Ministry and studied at Moody Bible Institute, with certifications in leadership, counseling, and coaching. With over 30 years of experience, Pastor Jenkins has dedicated his life to empowering individuals and transforming communities.
As a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach, Teacher, and Speaker, Pastor Jenkins equips leaders, teams, and organizations to reach their highest potential through workshops, seminars, and keynote speeches. His coaching focuses on personal growth, goal setting, and leadership strategies that drive lasting success. He is recognized for his ability to help others uncover their true identity and achieve their God-given potential.
Pastor Jenkins is the CEO of Stone Community Development Corporation (Stone CDC) and a critical community leader in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. Under his leadership, Stone CDC has spearheaded initiatives such as academic enrichment, arts programs, financial literacy workshops, and health and wellness services. Most notably, Pastor Jenkins led the development of the Austin Community Health Hub, a groundbreaking 24,500-square-foot facility that will serve as a haven for clinical care, mental health support, youth development, and economic revitalization. This collaboration with Lurie Children’s Hospital and Thresholds is a testament to his commitment to holistic community transformation.
In addition to his ministry and organizational leadership, Pastor Jenkins serves as the Lead Servant and Pastor of Lively Stone Church of Chicago and is a board member for the 36th Ward Small Business Neighborhood Association for Industrial Businesses. He is a proven expert in counseling, team building, and public relations, with a unique ability to unite multicultural communities under a shared vision of growth and empowerment.
Of all his accomplishments, Pastor Jenkins considers his greatest to be his role as husband to his wife, Lenkisha Jenkins, and father to their three beautiful daughters. His life’s mission is summed up in the belief that “Better is always possible”—a message he embodies in his work, his ministry, and his coaching.

T.J. Johnson
Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Foundation Relations
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Foundation
T.J. Johnson currently serves as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Foundation Relations at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Foundation. In this role, he leads a team responsible for generating more than $20 million annually in support of the hospital’s mission and programs through partnerships with corporations, private foundations and Children’s Miracle Network partners.
T.J. graduated from Millikin University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Business. He also obtained a Master of Nonprofit Management degree from the DePaul University School of Public Service.
Joseph M. Hubbard, CPA
Certified Public Accountant
Joe Hubbard has over 25 years’ experience in accounting and auditing. He specializes in providing financial and compliance audits. Joe has extensive experience with municipalities, special districts, not for profit organizations, contractors, auto dealerships and retailers.

- Manages financial and compliance related audit engagements for government entities, not for profit organizations and private companies.
- Performs reviews of clients’ internal control systems.
- Prepares compilations and reviews services for various entities.
- Provides Tax Incremental Financial (TIF) compliance audits.
- Licensed CPA in Illinois and Indiana.

Vanessa Taliferro
Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer & Senior Consultant
AD-V Business Consulting, Inc.
Vanessa Taliferro is an accomplished business executive, grants professional, and nonprofit leader with more than 30 years of experience in banking, financial administration, real estate development, grant management, and nonprofit operations. She is the co-founder, Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Consultant of AD-V Business Consulting, Inc., where she helps nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and public-sector entities strengthen their administrative and financial capacity, secure funding, and implement sustainable programs.
Throughout her career, Vanessa has secured more than $100 million in grant funding, managed approximately $15 million in federal and state awards, and supported more than $30 million in community-based real estate and construction development. Her previous nonprofit leadership experience included overseeing accounting operations, managing residential and commercial properties, administering a HUD-certified housing counseling center, developing programs for vulnerable populations, and improving organizational policies and procedures.
Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with honors, from Elmhurst College; a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from North Park University; and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Trinity International University. She is a member of the Grants Professional Association Chicago Chapter and the National Grants Management Association.
Committed to service and community advancement, Vanessa serves as an Elder at Rivers of Living Water Ministries International and has provided board leadership to community organizations serving individuals and families in Chicago, Houston, and Ghana.
